1. It's 2013! What will be the first thing you do that is memorable?
I'm planning on going up to Seattle in a couple weeks. I've lived here almost my whole life, and I've never been up there. How sad is that!? So I guess that will be memorable, right?
2. It's also income tax season... what do you plan on doing with all of that $$$?
Paying off some bills. I know, I'm so exciting, right? Maybe I'll have enough to buy a new couch too. That would sure be nice! I hate my old couch. Ick.
3. What are your 2012 pros/cons?
Hmm. Interesting question. Well, we bought a house at the very end of 2011, so 2012 was spent moving in, and adjusting to being homeowners. That sure had a lot of pros and cons to it. Being able to customize stuff has been a ton of fun. New lighting fixtures, sink, faucet, landscaping.. We had a lot of fun with that. But at the same time, we also had to adjust to the financial changes. Ick.
4. What are you looking forward to this year?
- Painting my house, inside and out
- Decorating my house more, new furniture, curtains, etc.
- Adding some actual landscaping to my house
- Watching Jordyn grow up. She will be TWO this year!
- Potty Training. It's going to be hard, and frustrating, but it will be so cool when we are done.
- Maybe having another baby? Definitely not happening right away, but it's a whole year. Maybe I'll change my mind.
5. What was your favorite movie, CD album, book of 2012?
I didn't really have any favorites. I'm not very "up on the times" if you know what I mean. Haha. But I totally loved the Hunger Games movie. I only saw it once, but it was awesome, and I want to buy it!
Have fun painting and decorating! I wish I owned so that I could experiment with my crazy ideas. Sadly I still rent and landlords don't like bright colors or anything creative. Boo.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't read the Hunger Games series, you totally should! They are easy reads and super captivating!
I have a few friends that are from Seattle and I would love to visit one day! Oh and I look forward to reading about all the updates you make to your house. We rent so I must stick to living vicariously for now!
ReplyDeleteI will be looking forward to potty training my youngest too! I am sick of buying diapers! GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, I can't wait to pay off debt as well! I think everyone has all been broke since .... well.. you know.
It looks like you've got some really great plans for 2013. I can't wait to see the updates on your house! I too, like Melissa, am living pretty vicariously!! We CAN paint, but then when we leave we have to paint it back. Which is lame. And seems like a pain for only 3 years of living in one place... I still want to decorate more, because I feel like it's so lame in here.
ReplyDeleteI am also so excited for you to visit Seattle, you know I've never been either! I think it sucks that we take our home locations for granted, you know? I was talking to my German friend Sonja, and asked her about something in a nearby town, and she knew nothing about it! I asked her "How is that even possible??" and she reminded me that I didn't really travel much when I lived in Oregon either... And now I get it. But, I think that now I've been living in other countries and stuff, I will no longer take that for granted! There is so much to see and do in the world! Even in your own state!
